Porcelain Tiles
Porcelain tile is a type of ceramic tile, though it is made from finer, denser clay and is fired at higher temperatures. It's tougher, more scratch resistant than other varieties, and more durable and resistant to stains. It is denser, less porous and harder properties offers greater stain and water resistance than ceramic tile or natural stones. There are many colour variations and textures found in porcelain which also often mimics the natural stone designs and features. In today's homes, porcelain is the primary choice because it comes with the beautiful look of marble, it's more durable and liquid resistant and at a lower price.
Marble Tiles
Smooth, sleek, elegant, and above all, natural. These are words that describe the beauty of natural stone. Natural stones such as marble, granite and travertine are harvested from the belly of a mountain, this naturally occurring material can lend a luxurious look to any establishment. Small flaws, colour variations and markings inherent in natural stones as it forms deep in our earth over millions of years. Huge blocks of stones are extracted from the mountains which are sent to the factory to be sliced into thin slabs. The slabs are cut into various sizes of tile and go through the surface treatment and polishing process. It's unique colour and texture are what its original blocks contain. This means that no two tiles will ever bear the same markings, only a superficial resemblance to each other. This feature is what lends natural stone coverings its striking appearance.
